- They are cutting all these lovely big trees down in the paddock next to my office building.
- Lawrence of Arabia is an odd film thus far (thus far is about half an hour through it).
- Born to storm on boredom's face, add a little lust to the funky ass Flea bass.
- There were mushrooms growing in my potplant at work (and no not magic ones).
- We haven't had a frost since Dad and I put up a gazebo for my car to be protected from frosts.
- I have nine small sores on my two hands (mostly from sewing last night).
- This year is Disneyland's 50th anniversary (if anyone wants to go with Amy on the 16h of December let her know).
- I love my job 75% of the time, the rest of the time I'm bored - I'm happy with those proportions.
- On Tuesday night we had Chili chicken which was too hot for Kirsty and Andrew but I thought it was delicious.
- The carpets at my work are very red.
- Aid is a very tricky thing to give so it actually makes a positive rather than a negative difference (on the international scale).
- There are no monks in my band.
- I have very tight hamstrings and have no show of touching my toes... but I've set up a foot rest at work so I can stretch them out while working!
- I prefer writing with a pencil, I just love the scratchy sound it makes and it feels more romantic.
- Yesterday I had my headphones on for a good half before realising I'd forgotten to turn any music on.

I have very tight hamstrings as well.
I would like to make an announcement to the world. Beggs Music Shop in Christchurch is the worse Music Store in the weekend. Don't shop there ever again. They will rip you off, and lie to you.
I know lots of people who have done business with Beggs and all have been very happy, including my sister, Andrew, Susannah etc.
Have you rung them? I will ring them for you this morning if you like so you don't have to make a toll call.
Also f you haven't rung them you don't know that they're not just going to give you your money back! And also my Dad is friends with Mr Begg too and he is a nice person.
Like I said in my email I suspect that Beggs didn't even look at the piano, if you remember they were selling it on behalf of a piano refurbisher. I think they are the real baddie to even bother trying to see that piano.
I'll even go into the shop to talk with them if you want me to :-)
Mr Begg knows nothing about musical instruments if I remember correctly.

Yes but Mr Begg doesn't personally buy or inspect the pianos either Amy, so that is neither here nor there. :-)
i am just saying that not all music people love beggs. mark, for instance (I think) said he was a real nice guy and all that but he didn't really know his stuff.
also, hang on with Lawrence of Arabia- it is an awesome movie. Really inspirational i reckon

Dear Amy, Andrew and all others. I am finding donig work exceptionally difficult today - well the work is easy just concentrating is difficult.
Also I am going to get my second tattoo very soon, as soon as I have $60 which will be in 1.5 weeks. How very exciting for me. It is a lovely one too.
Well I see now you just have to have $100 million to go to the dark side of the moon, so lucky he doesn't have $100 million. Also I think you mean Puerto Rico (maybe) ;-)
After all this messiness with Lara's piano I cheered up considerably once deciding on my next tattoo.

I'm sure Mr Begg is a nice person, but he isn't the person that I dealt with. I was just referring to the mess in January when they had said they would take it, and then they said a month later that they didn't want to take it, that they never sell second-hand pianos, etc, and were not very nice to my dad. But Dad was talking to a woman.
Yes I remember some vague thing about a piano refurbisher. Unfortunately they are still liable even when selling on behalf of, so it's a shame that they didn't check it more thoroughly. And I'm glad they were nice to you, that's good :) I would be more upset if they were mean to you too.
You're getting another tattoo! Why and where? interesting. I had some money to spend on a treat for myself, but couldn't think of anything that I wanted that cost more than $30, so didn't get anything.
Why did I write 'worst Music Store in the weekend' and not 'worst Music Store in the world' like I meant to? I think I'm a little bit vacant today. I want to go back and edit my comment and fix it.
Please don't be upset over the piano! I think you're wonderful for helping me with it at all. And things might turn out alright still :) And even if they don't, it's been a valuable learning experience.
Sorry for being mean about the Beggs store. You must remember how I get upset/angry with institutions, eg banks, IRD, etc, and shops come into that category until I remember that they're run by people too...
And Amy, I would love to go to Disneyland, but I can't get time off sorry :(
That's ok Lara :-) I guess I was just a bit defensive because I had a lovely first impression of Mr Begg and he's always been nice evry since, so I guess I like him as much as you can like someone you don't know. And my thinking was just that the shop probably wasn't even aware of the condition... if we find out they were then they will be the worst music shop in the world!

Why not? I don't think you have a good reason. ANd I have an excellent reason to get one - because I want it! It doesn't hurt or even affect anyone apart from me so what does it matter? I'm so happy I got my first one, I don't regret it at all!
