Hello everyone!
Today is ask Mindy day. I'm sure by now there's not many questions left out there for you all to ask. But I do still have two outstanding questions from Nick and Adam to answer from last week and if there are any new ones fire them this way.
Oh the picture is from the link Andrew posted yesterday. I have this book! How exciting is that? I remember it vaguely... but I do remember looking at the sweet shop, and the jars of sweets and thinking how come I've never been to a sweet shop like that!
Dinner last night was nice. And then we watched Bad Santa, which was ok but I was pretty tired and drifted off a bit. I'm still tired now. In fact what I'd really really really love would be to go home and go back to bed and read all day. But I can't :-(
I've got sewing tonight though so that will be fun. And then I can go straight to bed after that I suppose! Woo hoo!
Well have a good day!
:-) M

Search for the munch bunch on amazon. No pictures, but lots of character names.
Rozzy Raspberry? What the hell kind of name was that?
And Adam, you are an avacado.
The bananas band was called "Banana Bunch".
These books are expensive!
Adam The Avocado cost US$66.
I wonder if they are on eBay.
Actually, I am going to do some work.
And sorry about the no question thing, Mindy.
This is the blurb for the Banana Bunch book:
"Despite the nasty tricks Billy, Peanut, and Scruff play on them, the Banana Bunch thrills its audience with lively songs and dances"
Scruff must have been the gooseberry. Good old Scruff.
OK, stopping now.
Wow Andrew you're an absolute fountain of knowledge. The books seem a lot cheaper buying them from that second hand place in England. Maybe they're expensive because they're like collectors items now.
I should go home and see if I can find my books and then we can go nuts reading them!
Well who has missed me the most?
Thats my question.
Right now it was Pedro Orange and Olly Onion. Lucy Lemon was my favourite.
The munch bunch have run away
The munch bunch are here to stay
The munch bunch have found a home
With a garden
I think Peanut was also in the naughty gang and wore a cowboy outfit.
He sure did!
Peanut!
Strangley, he had no first name, like Peter or Patrick or Perrywinkle.
I missed you the most!
I missed you SO SO SO SO SO SO SO much!
Also on that site Andrew keeps linking to there's a book called Ollie the Orange. So now I'm confused. Because Pedro makes more sense.
She's right you know.
Ollie the Orange
But there was a song on our record that was definitely about an orange and he was definetely from Spain and he wore some sort of hat with dangly things.
I think he may have been a relation of Ollie's? Was that in the song Kirsty?
If you look at the book on that site called "Meet the munch bunch" or something. There's a picture. You could post that link too Andrew since you like posting links. But there's definitely a Spanish looking Orange. It's funny tht the orange on the front of the other book doesn't look Spanish. Maybe there were two oranges.
Here is the cover:
Meet the Munch Bunch
The orange in question appears to be just left and up of center.
you are all morons!
Hey! Me and the chicken freak do the terrorising around here. Find your own turf Elderberry!
I am confused too. I was sure it was Pedro Orange and Olly Onion. Of course I didn't like either. Maybe they are both aliens.
I can't remember the song though sorry.
I am tired and I've only been here one and a half hours.
Oranges are from Spain. Onions are not.
The Onion most definitely looks French.
Sorry to hear you're tired. But remember devilled sausages for tea! With mashed potatoes!
I wonder if any of the vegetables we will have for dinner tonight have names and personalities.
That would be AWESOME.
yah for dinner!
If we name the vegetables will we be able to eat them?
Well the apple will be severely mutilated (it will be chopped up and put in the sausages) as will the onion. The potatoes are going to get it worst of all.
We'd have to name them before the cooking process started I think.
Oh! Oh! Oh! Did you guys have the hamburger game? We did. We've still got it. All the hamgburger fillings including condiments were named. Well I think they were, they had faces anyway. I always thought the mayonaise was beautiful.
If I was a guy I would so do the mayonaise.
But I'm a bit like that really.
I WOULD NOT!
who said that? Taking advantage of a cripple. Bad bad person.
I'm hungry. All this vegetable and condiment talk.
I'm going home at 12. So any other 'Kirsty' comments after that are just plain lies.
Oh we'll miss you Kirsty!
Oh I thought she was being serious. As I've always thought she was a bit like that.
Hi Blue Amy!
You guys are SO distracting. I'm trying to find out what tlaw was doing at 2.26pm yesterday and you keep interrupting me. :-P
I am not like that at all you weirdos.
Blue Amy you are a Jedi whore.
My Jedi name is Keli Mindu for those who are interested (pronounced key-lie).
Also haha Nick said he was going to ask lots of questions about pink and he hasn't asked a single one!
I'll stab you to death with my beak you silly Ostrich. Jar Jar Binks has more class than you ever will.
And "Sparrow freak" I am the one doing the terrorising round here! Not you! So SHOVE OFF
Wow killer chicken!
You used the bold tag! Good work! I wonder what other tags it will accept. Like an image maybe.... Hmm "img" doesn't work.
Well obviously I will answer your question formally. But I just thought it prudent to inform you that I am infact wearing pink right this second. A bright fuchsia top. And I have a pink handbag too, that's more of a salmon colour. But they're all pinks!
